| Summary | Mechanical Engineer and Robotics Researcher passionate about building responsive, force-aware robotic platforms. From academic research on multi-robot emergent behavior to industrial systems engineering at Honeywell, I integrate mechanical design with low-level control systems to enable adaptive, real-world robot performance. My experience in hardware, embedded control, and simulation allows me to develop and validate robust robotic platforms that shorten iteration cycles |
Work
-
2022.08 - Present Mechanical Design Engineer
Honeywell Intelligrated
My current position which I am responsible for the design and implementation of preventative maintenance devices and the deployment of high value industrial systems.
- Filed three patent applications relating to sensorized mechanical subsystems for automation
- Concepted, prototyped, and finalized embedded design of preventative maintenance devices establishing an estimated $100,000 annual revenue pipeline
- Designed and executed customer specified testing contributing to a $125M initial contract and established future order pipeline
-
2021.05 - 2021.08 Systems Engineer Co-op
Honeywell Intelligrated
This term was the second rotation which I was able to be on-site and assisting day to day developments compared to my first rotation. Some of my contributions included building next generation sortation products and supporting manufacturing.
- Executed part revisions and FEA analysis for production validation
- Developed prototype test stands and testing for transitioning to production environment
-
2020.06 - 2020.12 Systems Engineer Co-op
Honeywell Intelligrated
This was my first internship rotation with honeywell during the onset of the covid pandemic. I was able to contribute to many projects, including a globalization effort for the shoe sorter product line.
- Executed part revisions and FEA analysis for production validation
- Supported globalization effort for shoe sorter to meet strict EU compliance guidelines
-
2018.05 - 2023.08 Graduate Research Assistant
Embodied and Interactive Systems Laboratory
During my time and research with the EIS laboratory I developed a multi-robot Gazebo simulation within the ROS framework and replicated physical prototype.
- Created Gazebo simulation in ROS to model swarm behavior and impedance control strategies
- Designed and manufactured force sensing, omnidirectional robot platform for real-world validation
- Developed real-time data pipelines in ROS for multi-sensor input (Load Cell, IMU) and physical actuation
- Co-authored conference submission (IROS 2023) on impedance-controlled multi-robot interaction; revisions underway for resubmission
Education
Awards
- 2021.11.07
Graduate Research Fellow
Space Research Institute for Discovery and Exploration
This fellowship provided me the opportunity to reach great depth and complete many of the desired outcomes such as a full simulation and fully built prototype force sensitive robot. I am greatly honored for this recognition and opportunities it has provided.
